I am Mr. Lopez. Here is a little about myself. I am currently teaching in my 28th year in education. My undergraduate degree was earned at St. Mary’s University of San Antonio in 1989. In 2006, I earned my Masters of Education at Wayland Baptist University with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. Teaching assignments have taken me from San Antonio, Houston, Castroville, and Uvalde before coming to teach in Sabinal. I graduated from McCollum High School in San Antonio in 1985. Go Cowboys! My favorite sports teams are the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, and our San Antonio Spurs.
I love to go fishing, hiking, and camping. I can often be found roughing it at Padre Island National Seashore on the weekends and holidays. There is nothing better than enjoying a fresh catch of fish at my camp. I also enjoy taking day trips around the area to explore our great state. Lost Maples and Enchanted Rock are among my favorites. My favorite foods include Thai, Greek, wings, and hamburgers with lots of pickles. I am a Jeep enthusiast and a beginner mountain biker. I am also the proud pet parent to my chihuahua, Anderson.
