Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members,
As we begin another great year and celebrate the Sabinal ISD overall “B” rating from TEA and the Sabinal Elementary “A” rating, the district would like to remind all members of our learning community to remain diligent. With students and staff gathering once again in normal everyday activities the risk of infection increases. Sabinal ISD asks for support of all to keep students, staff and visitors safe on campuses at all times.
Please encourage your child to wash their hands frequently, avoid touching their face, and to cover their cough and sneezes. Also, if your child is sick, please keep them home. We need to work together to keep everyone healthy and well.
Sabinal ISD wants to remain transparent and report that we have had several reports of COVID positive individuals in the district, especially at the elementary level. Our custodial department has maintained efforts in cleaning and disinfecting classrooms. Students are asked to keep in mind to avoid, as much as possible, commonly touched places and objects such as door handles and handrails without sanitizing afterwards.
While protocols from the CDC and TEA no longer call for contact tracing and notification, Sabinal ISD encourages students and staff to wear masks and desires to keep our Sabinal community informed and encourage them to maintain healthy habits to stay healthy and safe.
In Health,
Sabinal ISD
