Sabinal, TX- The Sabinal ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Dr. Edgar B. Camacho as the lone finalist for superintendent of schools.
Dr. Camacho has extensive experience spanning 33 years in public education, with 7 years of classroom experience and 26 years in campus and district-level administration, which includes 8 years as a superintendent. Currently, Dr. Camacho serves as the Director of Support Services for Natalia ISD.
Dr. Camacho states “I am very humbled and honored to be chosen to serve the students, faculty and staff, parents, and community of Sabinal. I am very excited and look forward to meeting the community and continuing the positive growth of Sabinal ISD.
“The Board believes that Dr. Camacho is the right choice to continue the essential work of educating the young minds of our district” stated board president, Bernie Garcia.
State law requires a 21-day waiting period after the lone finalist is announced before the Board can enter into a contract with the candidate, which will be March 25, 2024.
