SABINAL, TX - The Sabinal MS band, led by director Michael J. Casas, achieved remarkable success at the UIL Region 11 Concert and Sightreading Contest, receiving straight 1s for their outstanding performance. The ensemble ventured beyond the standard repertoire, choosing to perform "La Madre De Los Gatos" by Brian Beck, a piece noted for its complexity and challenge above the required difficulty level. This selection not only demonstrated the band's exceptional skill and musicality but also set a high benchmark of excellence.
